The cats

As my profile states, I prefer cats over most animals. It's not that I don't like other animals. I'm just more on the same wavelength with cats. Above you will see the infamous Mr. Tilman, and his newest partner in crime, Ms Bathsheba. Mr. Tilman has appeared here before. Ms. Bathsheba was recently adopted from the local Humane Society. Let me say, she gives Mr. Tilman a run for his money.

80's Music Friday

One of my fondest memories of this video:

I was watching a local cable access channel playing underground videos. My mother walked in while this video was playing. When it reached the part where the man pours nuts, bolts, screws, and motor-oil into his omlette, my mother looked at me and said, "If you ever do that to any of my cookware, EVER, I will beat you within an inch of your life. Do I make myself clear?"

"Mom...sigh. I don't do everything I see on T.V." She looked at my Bahaus hair and combat boots and said "Uh huh. Just don't forget what I told you." She didn't find it very funny when I left a opened can of Valvoline next to the stove the next morning.

Saphire and Tonic is my current drink of choice. It's a drink my grandfather and I used to share. He passed away recently, and the occasional taste of these brings back some pleasant memories.

Forbidden Planet

All of the background sounds, or "soundtrack", is performed by Louis and Bebe Barron, and is the first all-electronic score for a motion picture. I acuired this soundtrack when I just entered jr. high, and it sent me down my path of electronic experimentation.

Akira - Kaneda

Akira blew me away not only because of it's story line of, but by it's amazing soundtrack. Composed by Yamashiro Shoji and performed by his group Geinoh Yamashirogumi, it is the perfect soundtrack for the bleak portrayal of Neo-Tokyo.

28 Days Later

The music in the above segment is by Godspeed You Black Emperor!, and is an edit of "East Hastings" from their "f# a# infinity" release. In my opinion it is the perfect companion to the soundtrack by John Murphy.
